Avalanche to Face Stars in Second Round

Stanley Cup Playoffs Continue

Denver, CO

The Colorado Avalanche have advanced to the second round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs after defeating the Edmonton Oilers in five games. The Avalanche, who finished the regular season with the NHL's best record, will now face the Dallas Stars, who upset the Calgary Flames in the first round.

The Avalanche are led by Nathan MacKinnon, who is one of the most dynamic players in the league. MacKinnon had 13 points in the first round, including five goals. He will be looking to continue his strong play against the Stars, who have a solid defensive team led by Miro Heiskanen.

The Stars are a dark horse in the playoffs, but they have the talent to make a deep run. They have a balanced scoring attack led by Jason Robertson and Roope Hintz, and they have a strong goaltender in Jake Oettinger. The Stars will be looking to upset the Avalanche and make a run to the Stanley Cup Final.

The Avalanche and Stars will begin their second-round series on Wednesday night in Denver.
